Summer Free For All is Back - Free Summer Fun for All!

post-title

Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) invites everyone to participate in the exciting "Summer Free For All" (SFFA) program. In the summer of 2023, you can expect amazing events throughout the season.

Summer Free For All helps keep children active and healthy, bringing together people of all backgrounds by organizing free, accessible summer activities for families. The program includes live music, movies, various craft workshops, sports, games, and free lunches.

"This 'Summer Free For All' program unites people. Families enjoy free events, children stay active and make new friends, and we take pride in our multicultural city," says Nick Fish, a representative of Portland Parks.

This year, "Movies in the Park" and "Concerts in the Park" events will take place in 41 parks across the city. The "Free Lunch + Play" program will once again provide healthy lunches to children in need in collaboration with five local school districts and Meals on Wheels People.

This year's events will start on June 17th. The Summer Free For All program can be found online at portlandoregon.gov/parks/sffa and is available in English and eight other languages (Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, Nepali, Russian, Spanish, Somali, and Vietnamese).

"'Summer Free For All' is a fantastic way to discover all that Portland Parks & Recreation has to offer," says PP&R Director Adena Long. "When friends and families come together to share experiences, have fun, and relax, it strengthens bonds and makes Portland's community even more cohesive."

PP&R invites everyone to join and participate in the launch of the "Summer Free For All" program on Thursday, June 20, 2023, during lunchtime at Luuwit View Park in the Argay neighborhood of Portland. This is a great way to kick off the summer and express gratitude to our sponsors, including our main sponsor, Nike Made to Play, as well as Bank of America, Comcast, and Vacasa.
